GAS KOREA 2002」 국제 가스산업 전시회 초대의
말씀
 날로 새롭게 세계로 도약하는 국제가스산업전시회인 「GAS KOREA 2002」에 여러분을
초대합니다.
현재 전국민의 99%가 가스에너지로 취사 또는 난방을 하고 있으며, LPG와 LNG 수요도 폭발적으로 늘어날 것으로
예상되고 있습니다. 이에따라 가스 機器·안전장비를 비롯한 관련산업분야도 괄목할 만한 신장을 거듭하고 있으며, 세계 어느나라와 경쟁을 해도 손색이
없는 단계에 이르고 있습니다.
이에 따라 13년 전통의 대표전문지인 한국가스신문을 중심으로 범업계 차원의
조직위원회를 구성하고, 가스분야만의 전문성을 극대화시킨 국제규모의 전문전시회를 계획해 지난 2000년 6월 성공리에 개최한 바 있습니다.
GAS KOREA 2000 전시회에는 전세계 16개국 108개업체가 참여, 가스관련 신기술과 첨단장비를 선보였으며 국내 가스산업의 숨은 역량과
기술수준을 세계에 알림은 물론 범국민적인 관심과 이해를 크게 증진시키는 성과를 거둔 바 있습니다.
우리는 2002년 3월5일부터 서울 무역전시장에서 개최되는 이 전시회가 名實相符한
국제가스산업전이 될 수 있도록 세계각국을 상대로 전시참가 및 관람객들에게는 다채로운 부대행사와 최선의 서비스를 제공하기 위하여 만반의 준비를
다하고 있습니다.
특히 이번 「GAS KOREA 2002」는 가스산업 및 가스安全에 대한 범국민적인 이해와 관심을 고조시킬 것이며,
企業弘報와 商品廣告에 취약한 中小企業들에게는 좋은 영업기회가 될 것입니다. 또 한편으로는 국내외 가스산업을 직접 눈으로 비교 ·분석함으로써
경쟁력 제고에 이바지 할 것이며, 세계각국의 가스관계자들과 유익한 정보와 交分을 나눌 수 있는 비즈니스와 社交의 한 場이 될 것으로

Welcome to 「GAS KOREA 2002」, the 2nd gas industry exhibition in Korea.
Almost
every one in Korea uses gas for heating and cooking. It is expected that more
than fourteen million tons of LNG(Liquefied Natural Gas) and seven million tons
of LPG(Liquid Propane Gas) will be used this year. As the demand for gas
increases, gas-related industrial sectors will developing rapidly.
Ever since
Korea overcame the economic recession in 1997, Korean gas industry has been
coping with great change. This was brought about by the constructive policies of
the Government, the investments of foreign countries and people's higher
interest in safety. To meet this change, Korean gas industry is making progress
in technology and market strategy as well as expanding in its production. Last
year, KNOC(Korea National Oil Corporation) made a significant discovery of
natural gas in Block VI-1 in Korean waters and natural gas will be produced in
2002.
Korea Gas Newspaper Company is the host of 「GAS KOREA
2002」sponsored by the Korean government and related organizations. The company,
the successful host of 「IPG(International Petroleum and Gas Industry Exhibition)
97」believes this exhibition will also be a great success. 「GAS KOREA 2002」will
be a great festival, to contribute to the improvement of gas products and
technology for international gas market.
To accomplish this purpose, the「GAS
KOREA 2002 PLANNING COMMITTEE」was organized to prepare various events and
services for participating companies and foreign or domestic
customers.
